Welcome

We exist to grow small Architectural design firms. We understand business and we understand what it's like to run a design firm.

We are characterised by critical thought, team work and an ability to identify the key criteria for a firm to achieve peak reach and profitability.

About us

Sam Payne operated a successful and highly profitable design business from 2009-2016. Following the completion of business studies the design component of Attic Salt was closed so that Sam could focus on his true passion of improving the design community. This is achieved through a blend of design thinking, strategy and learning the unique commercial needs of each company.

Currently Sam holds the following positions:
- Get Frank | Founder
- BDAWA | President

Lucky Chans Restaurant & Noodle Bar

2014

A three level, narrow restaurant hidden behind a 'laundry'

Attic Salt was engaged to design a quirky space in an extremely narrow and tricky building envelope. Our solution was to build a portal frame inside of the walls of the existing tenancy which prevented the need to affect the existing building fabric and allowed us to add a roof top terrace to the space.

Lucky Chan's was also the first successful crowd funded rooftop bar for Perth.

Caporn Young

2015

Caporn Young engaged Attic Salt to create a uniquely Fremantle office for their team. The space is built inside a modest warehouse and utilises the existing building fabric mixed with colours and textures to create interest and style.

Previously a bland commercial tenancy in a large building, Attic Salt was engaged to create a high impact, relaxed environment for the patrons of The Raw Kitchen. The space spans over two floors and 700m2 and includes a function area for yoga, classes and venues.

Our approach was to use the existing materials on site and everyday materials in a "raw" way. Highlighting their warmth and simplicity.
